.

In 1998 I was working on Flores Island, when on TV RTP Açores it was reported that a French exploration ship had made this incredible discovery, the Saldanha hydrothermal spring expels gold oxide....... but after this news I never I heard nothing more, and it's been 26 years.

Thousands of tons of gold deposited on the seabed around the Saldanha hydrothermal spring, 2200 meters deep....... silence from successive governments in 26 years.

Now I share this story with all Portuguese people, and I give the links, and I reproduce everything here.

The scum that governs Portugal (PS - PSD - CDS - BLOCO DE ESTRECO - PCP) will still clap, they will deliver thousands of tons of gold to private foreigners.

This gold could be invested in a sovereign wealth fund, as Norway does with the oil revenues they produce, for the benefit of its people.

Wake up Portuguese people, and look for the truth, it is available to everyone.

The Saldanha Mission

USING the French submersible «Nautile», Portuguese and French scientists explored the sea depths off the Azores in the summer of 1998. It was the first operation organized by Portuguese researchers into the hydrothermal zones of these oceanic abysses. The organizers named it Missão Saldanha, in honor of the well-known Portuguese professor of marine biology who passed away in 1997.

The «Nautile», which is one of the few submarines capable of diving to such depths, has allowed researchers to submerge in several locations located between 800 and 3000 meters below sea level. The objective is to study the geology of the seabed, namely underwater volcanic chimneys, as well as the fauna that develops in these strange environments.

The discovery of the first underwater hydrothermal vents was made in the Pacific Ocean, in 1977, aboard the North American submersible «Alvin». It was only in 1993, after several fruitless explorations, that similar phenomena were found at the bottom of the Atlantic. The discovery is due to Luiz Saldanha and other North American and French experts who, diving in the «Alvin», discovered a hydrothermal field near the Azores. The field then discovered, which they called Lucky Strike, is one of the most active known.

Monte Saldanha
Coordinates: 36° 34' N 33° 26' W

Monte Saldanha is a seamount off the Azores, Portugal, connected to the "Saldanha hydrothermal field" on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (or MAR).

With a base that is located at a depth of approximately 3,000 meters and the top at 2,200 meters,[1] this 1,200 m high oceanic landform is part of the hydrothermal vents and seamounts of the Azores, being located 36 ° 34' N 33º 26' W.[2]

The discovery of Monte Saldanha took place in the summer of 1998, in the first operation organized by Portuguese researchers into those hydrothermal zones, in the company of French scientists and using the French submersible "Nautile" and the oceanographic vessel "Nadir", headed by scientist Fernando Barriga,[ 3] Professor at the University of Lisbon.[1][4]

The name "Monte Saldanha" was given in honor of Luiz Saldanha, Professor, former director of the Guia Maritime Laboratory at the University of Lisbon and scholar of deep marine environments, who died the previous year.[4]
